How working with B2C Europe enabled Cubyn to improve lead times and quality of service for international e-commerce logistics

A multi-carrier strategy

Cubyn is a third-party logistics (3PL) company serving commercial brands within verticals such as beauty, sports equipment, and gadgets. Cubyn is focused on shipping to multiple destinations and competitive pricing more than lead times and service quality.

B2C Europe and Cubyn first started their partnership with a successful test in Belgium and Spain in 2019. When COVID-19 appeared, Cubyn’s main carrier at the time had to close for three days a week. Cubyn reached out to B2C Europe to help them continue shipping their parcels to Europe.

The B2C Europe team was able to quickly integrate Cubyn so it could use all services and destinations that B2C Europe offers.

Improved lead times

The choice to partner with B2C Europe was mainly focused on the costs at first, and to be able to select a different carrier for all major European destinations. According to Cubyn, B2C Europe offers a solution that aggregates several carriers operating in all Europe, at an attractive cost. B2C Europe’s solutions improved lead times by at least 0.5 day and enabled Cubyn to also deliver all parcels unsorted to smaller destinations, as there is no need to sort in full-service.

B2C Europe helps Cubyn to propose a fast and complete cross-border delivery experience for their clients Europe-wide. In addition, B2C Europe allows Cubyn to select the carriers that will perform the delivery to the end customer. This creates the best experience for the addressee.

Solutions

  • Full-service parcel deliveries. This means Cubyn can speed up their warehouse processes, because they can deliver all parcels unsorted for the smaller destinations, as there is no need to sort in Full-Service.
  • Cubyn efficiently uses two of B2C Europe’s hubs; parcels are being processed and transitioned from Paris and Madrid.
  • Cubyn’s top 3 destinations are Germany, Belgium, and Spain. Other routes being: Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania and Sweden.

Partnership: Cubyn x B2C Europe

The partnership between Cubyn and B2C Europe works really well, with a close proximity between the company and the account manager of B2C Europe. Via one point of contact, they have the ability to ask all the questions and concerns for all destinations in Europe, to one person.

The relationship is based on providing constructive feedback and finding solutions on the different open topics. B2C Europe is supporting Cubyn in a context of constant growth. For example, B2C Europe proactively provides information in an emergency. During seasonal periods, B2C Europe sent a daily update about all carriers and their options, so that they could adapt to the situation.

The main win with the solution designed by B2C Europe, is linked to savings. Cubyn’s other solution was to give 100% to La Poste, unsorted as well, so no real win for them to do one more sorting. But by using B2C Europe’s solution, Cubyn saves on average €3-4 per parcel.
